Michael is Principal Planner with AECOM in Adelaide. He has more than 15 years’ experience as an urban planner, including 11 years in various strategic planning roles in the South Australian Government.
He has a comprehensive knowledge of Australian and global urban planning issues, which he applies to a local context through linking issues and opportunities. In particular, he has experience in analysing housing densities, planning policy, integration of land use and transport, development yield and land supply requirements for infill to achieve the State Government’s targets.
Prior to working at AECOM, Michael was Unit Manager, Strategic Planning for the Department of Planning, Transport and Infrastructure (DPTI) where he was project lead for the update to The 30-Year Plan for Greater Adelaide. As part of this project Michael lead thinking regarding the potential development uplift and renewal opportunities arising from the future AdeLINK network.
