Laura is a leading risk and resilience planning professional in Australia with over 12 years of diversified industry experience across both the public and private sectors.

Laura specialises in the integration of natural hazard risk management into land use planning policy, with a particular emphasis on bushfire risk and resilience and climate adaptation. She was a contributing author to the current National Land Use Planning Guidelines for Disaster Resilient Communities and works extensively with local and State governments across the country, focusing on community resilience-based projects.

Laura was awarded Australian Young Planner of the Year in 2011.

Laura is an accredited Bushfire Planning and Design practitioner and maintains a variety of bushfire protection and planning qualifications from the University of Technology Sydney, University of Queensland, the Australian Emergency Management Institute and Western Sydney University.
