Jo has 30 years’ experience across a range of portfolios in both government and non-government sectors. She commenced her career in the UK in facility management followed by several years in sports development and education roles. Prior to moving to Australia in 2006, she managed a sub regional cross sector partnership involving health, education, planning, recreation and community sectors. Within that role she was responsible for developing and implementing a range of programs and strategies for physical activity programs and facility infrastructure.
In Australia, Jo has worked for the Western Australia Premiers Physical Activity Taskforce from 2007 – 2011 on a range of strategic projects including the Built Environment strategy. Jo joined the Heart Foundation in 2011 working on numerous Active Living projects including the design and development of the innovative award winning Healthy Active by Design project. The Heart Foundation is acknowledged as a local, national and international leader in physical activity and the built environment.
